Accidental Gunshot Causes Lockdown
The gun went off at the Jefferson Barracks VA Hospital; no one was injured.

A gun accidentally went off Tuesday at around 2 p.m. when a patient at the Jefferson Barracks VA Hospital dropped his small-caliber revolver and it discharged.
The patient had a conceal-and-carry permit, and the gun was stored in a bag.
Police are still investigating the shot, but said no one was injured.

No one was in danger at the schools and the lockdown was a precaution, said Robin Anderson, from the Mehlville School District.
