Exciting new youth program being sponsored by the Oakville Middle School PTO

Hey Teens!!!  Can you picture your friends and you, SCUBA diving on a shipwreck in the clear, warm water of the Caribbean during spring break next year? That is just one example of the kind of exciting activities you can do in Venturing Crew 2648.

Venturing is a youth program for young women and men, who are 14 to 19 years of age (OR 13 years of age and have completed the 8^th grade).  It is part of the Boy Scouts of America in partnership with the Oakville Middle School PTO.

What makes Venturing special - more than just an outdoor activity club – is the teenagers decide and carry out all of the activities.  The program gives these young adults an environment where they can make decisions about how they want their crew to run and what they want to do.

They will hold a Sign-up and Information Meeting at the Oakville Middle School Cafeteria on Thursday, May 10^th from 6 to 7 and pizza will be served.
