One of a hospital's greatest strengths is the dedicated work of its volunteers, and St. Anthony's Medical Center is no exception. On Thursday, April 25, 2013, SAMC thanked its many caring and hard-working volunteers at a luncheon held at the Holiday Inn South County. Receiving special honors were Evelyn Reker, who has given more than 15,000 hours of volunteer service; and Delphine Holleman, who has spent 45 years as an SAMC volunteer. Delphine holds the distinctions of being the hospital's longest-serving active volunteer, and the only current one who also served at the old St. Anthony's campus at Grand Blvd. and Chippewa Street.
