Five-year-old Alexis Brooks expected her dad Dwayn, a recovering spinal fracture patient at St. Anthony's Medical Center, to join her May preschool graduation via Skype. Instead, with the help of therapeutic recreation specialist Geri Tyrey, he surprised Alexis and her class with an in-person visit to the ceremony at Sherwood Elementary. In April, Dwayn was cutting limbs to build a treehouse for Alexis when he was knocked from his ladder and suffered serious injury.
