An expectation for every Utopia Girl is to lead by example. Both on and off the dance floor, the girls are expected to make good choices, be gracious, and perform every action with pride. This holiday season, two individual team members stepped up to facilitate opportunities to give back to the community which they so proudly represent throughout the competition season.
The first idea to give back came from a senior squad member. With her help, Utopia committed itself to teaming up with Kurt Warner's Winter Warm-Up. This yearly coat drive originated during the days Kurt Warner
spent in St. Louis with the Rams, sustained itself throughout his years with other organizations, and continues through his retirement from football. The girls collected well over seventy items for this annual coat drive - winter coats and jackets of all sizes to help those in and around our community keep a little warmer this winter.
Our second team drive idea came from a mini squad member. This young lady encouraged her team members to pack not only their dance shoes for practice, but also a canned good or two. That's when Utopia began collecting canned goods and roasting pans for the St. Patrick Center. Our efforts will hopefully help to provide a Thanksgiving meal and spread holiday cheer.

It is now our hope to lead by example. Utopia Dance Team would like to call upon the entire community and encourage others to join in our efforts to give thanks.
