Any Castle Will Do For Princess Urquhart

I often wonder who comes up with some of these Stray Rescue dog names. While perusing the Stray Rescue website, I found some interesting (and adorable) dogs: Harhona, Mr. Belvedere and Boogie Pilgrim just to name a few. These names sometimes make me laugh, introduce me to a TV show or movie, and educate me on the world around me.  I never know what to expect when I hear a Stray Rescue dog’s name.

Take this week’s Pooch of the Week, Urquhart, for example.  I had no clue what her name meant.  Thanks, Stray Rescue for introducing me to an awesome dog and teaching me something new!

Apparently, Urquhart is one of the most famous castles in Scotland. The history is quite fascinating, and if I’m ever in the neighborhood, I will be sure to stop by for a visit! Urquhart the pup, sure lives up to her name. This 2-year-old Terrier mix is such a beautiful dog. She loves to strike a regal pose, and treats every place she visits as if it is the magnificent castle for which she is named after.

Urquhart is definitely a people dog; she absolutely loves every person she meets! During her time at TWB, it was difficult to get a picture of her because she was constantly following TWB staff around, giving them kisses and hoping to get a pet or two. She is so sweet, and will be sure to treat her forever family to lots of TLC! 

Urquhart would do well in any kind of home. She is not picky; any size castle will do! She doesn't even require a tiara. For more information on this princess, visit Stray Rescue!
