Be My Valentine, Scruff McGruff!

This love story has the perfect ending.

Sorry folks, but Scruff McGruff already has a valentine – me! With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, it is fitting to write about my true love, Mr. Scruff McGruff. Scruff, a 5-year-old Poodle mix, came into my life last February.

A client of fostered Scruff through Stray Rescue. Although he looked disheveled and a bit nervous, I knew right then and there that he was the boy for me.

Not much is known about Scruff’s past, but based on his initial apprehension to people and other dogs, it obviously was not anything good. Luckily, the kind and caring people of Stray Rescue came to his aid and started him on the path toward a much better life.

It took a while for Scruff to become comfortable in his new house, especially with his new sister, Roma Michelle Taner, a 4-year-old Chesapeake Bay Retriever. However, one day, the two of them were cuddling together, and it was obvious that Scruff had found his forever home.

Today, Scruff is living the life. Since his mom works at The Watering Bowl, he gets to come and play every day, and boy oh does he love it! He loves rastling, dancing and running around with all of his furry friends.

It has also become apparent that Scruff is quite the ladies man. During the evening pick-up hours, he works as the greeter at TWB. As soon as a female customer comes in, he is up on the desk wooing her. He puts on quite the show, and the ladies seem to love it! One look into those puppy-dog eyes and even the coldest of hearts is melted.

Stray Rescue is responsible for countless love stories like this every day. To start your own love story, visit Stray Rescue and find the perfect valentine!
