I recently read a book titled, On Hitler's Mountain: Overcoming the Legacy of a Nazi Childhood, by Irmgard A. Hunt.
The book is the author's memoir of her childhood days in Nazi Germany and her accounts take the reader to places currently visited by river cruise travelers along the Rhine and Danube Rivers.
I highly encourage anyone who has or will be traveling to Germany or has an interest in WWII history to read this book.
