Chris Coleman is Guilty—Yawn.
The elaborate imaginations of our culture is of more concern than the ultimate fate of a psychopath from Columbia.
At some point yesterday the news wires erupted and Facebook exploded with people elated that Columbia, IL’s Chris Coleman was guilty on three counts of first-degree murder. According to the Post-Dispatch, the prosecutor pleaded to the jurors before their verdict, “let Sheri and her boys celebrate Mother’s Day.”
Can you imagine? The last thing these boys saw before they died was their father strangling them to death. But they didn’t really die according to most people. Instead, and according to this prosecutor, they went to heaven with their mother.
Two boys, ages 11 and 9, in heaven for all of eternity without a father.

Actually, it’s worse than that.
Supposedly, according to the vast majority of faithful Christians, they are in heaven for eternity, not only without a father to keep them company, but with a father that they unconditionally loved, that also happened to choke them to death.

Of course, whether or not Chris Coleman also makes it to heaven is yet to be determined. After all, all he has to do now is accept Jesus Christ as his personal savior and he will join the boys and their mother in paradise.
Gandhi, on the other-hand, is probably rotting in hell, but there is still hope for Chris Coleman.
Now the jury must deliberate on the death penalty. Regardless of their decision, Chris Coleman will most certainly die someday, and 30 trillion years of paradise or torture awaits.
Personally, I couldn't care less.
Nothing that will ever happen to Chris Coleman makes up for what I imagine to be the looks of confusion in those boys’ eyes as their father that they loved strangled them to death.
And now, the prosecutor wants to play pretend and imagine that they are all up in heaven rejoicing for Mother’s Day that the jury believes he’s guilty?
Give me a break.
A psychopathic white guy (which is why it's such big news you know) killed his wife and kids in Illinois. Whether he was a psychopath at birth or was converted to one in the Marines or later is a topic for another day. For now, what bothers me is that a God who supposedly has the power to prevent such evil allows it to happen. It reminds me of the old saying, “Either God has the power to prevent evil and chooses not to, or does not have the power to prevent evil. In either case, why call him God?"
P.S. Why does a minister of God have or need a bodyguard?
