As many as 40,000 people die each year due to medical negligence, and the number of injuries is 10-20 times higher than this. However, not all cases of medical negligence are reported, and there are several reasons why people abstain from filing a lawsuit and seeking compensation for the losses suffered due to the negligence of the caregiver.
