Donut: Sweet and Simply Irresistible

Donut is a lovable and plump pooch ready to be adopted.

With a name like Donut, how could she not be sweet? This 2-year-old, brindle beauty is not only sweet, she is the whole package. She is beautiful, friendly, gets along well with other dogs and loves to have a good time!

Most dogs come to Stray Rescue needing to put on a few pounds, but not Ms. Donut. When she was brought to the shelter, she looked like she indulged in one too many donuts. Donut has been working hard to get her girlish figure back, and it shows. She is looking good!

went to Stray Rescue with TWB staff to pick up Donut. He once lived at the Stray Rescue shelter off Pine, but had a stroke of good luck. He was fostered by a Watering Bowl employee and then quickly adopted. His adoptive parents loved him so much, but because of circumstances beyond their control, they had to return him. He is now back with his foster parent and back on the market for adoption.

However, this week is about Donut. Donut and Skywalker were instantly smitten with one another, but were on their best behavior on the car ride – Skywalker rode shotgun and Donut sat in the back. Once they got to TWB, they let loose and rastled all day long!

Donut was also a big fan of playing with all of the awesome toys TWB has. The Teaser was great, but her absolute favorite was the Kong Ball. She chewed, bounced and chased after that ball all day. When it was time to go home, she even tried to sneak the ball out with her. Unfortunately, the ball had to stay at TWB. Someday, however, she will hopefully have a home where she can have lots of toys that she can call her own.
