St. Anthony’s Offers Lamaze Classes for Expectant Parents

St. Anthony’s Medical Center offers Lamaze classes to help expectant parents prepare for all aspects of childbirth.

In the basic Lamaze class, with the help of fathers or labor support persons, mothers are taught Lamaze breathing and relaxation techniques to help them through labor.  A movie about childbirth is shown and tours of the Family Birth Center are given.  All Lamaze prepared childbirth classes include evidence-based information regarding epidural and other anesthesia options.

Participants should bring two pillows and a blanket, dress comfortably and attend with the person who will be supporting them during labor.
