Nothing could be greener than putting interesting and useful items back to work and keeping them out of landfills.

If you are not already an avid garage sale shopper, it might be fun to try it this week and see if the hobby is for you. In addition to finding bargains on household items, you might stumble across some interesting collectibles.

A few tips for beginners are, always bring your own bags, plenty of small bills and lots of change. Recycling cast-off items can be fun and thrifty as well as green. Every sale is an adventure. You just never know what you may find.
