It's that time of week again—time to start thinking about what to do with yourself this weekend. Whether you're looking for something fun to do with the family, want to take a sibling out for some quality bonding time, or you're just looking for a cheap but awesome date, we've got you covered.
Where/When: at 12420 Tesson Ferry Rd.; 7 - 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11.
Why Go: Not only would this be an adorable date to start off Valentine's weekend, but you will also go home with some great recipes and skills for Chinese dishes like Asian pot stickers, gingered oranges and chinese noodles with peanut sauce.
Pricing: $80 per couple
Where/When: , at Lindbergh and Lemay Ferry; 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11.
Why Go: You've had a long week, and you'd like nothing more than to relax with a beer while watching a live local band jamming to some classic rock 'n' roll.
Where/When: All-American Sports Mall, 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12
Why Go: You can go see a high school basketball game any old day. Roller derby is fast-paced, hardcore and a lot of fun to watch. If you have never been to one in person before (watching Whip It with your girlfriend doesn't count), no excuses.

Where/When:Rollercade Rollerskating Rink, open skate sessions on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2 - 4 p.m. or 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. (open all weekend, see website for other open skate times)
Why Go: Because you went to see roller derby last night and now you're dying to try it yourself. Please, no knocking down the other kids until you join a league.

When: Reception and gallery talk 5 - 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12. Exhibit open through May 29, 2011. Museum hours are Tue - Fri, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sat - Sun, noon - 5 p.m.
Why Go: Fine art is worth a bit of a drive, especially if you get the chance to meet the sculptor. Jessica Stockholder's new exhibit is called "Grab grassy this moment your l's" and features 11 quirky, playful sculptures.
