Good morning, Mehlville!

Welcome to our new column that will help you get through the weekday. Every Monday through Friday at 6 a.m., we'll tell you everything ranging from gas prices and traffic alerts to events around town and stories we're working on. • Weather: Today is another hot one with a high of 98 degrees and a heat index of 107. Tuesday is supposed to be hot as well with thunderstorms on Wednesday and Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

• Gas: Sam's Club is the lowest at $3.55 and everyone else is at $3.61, including Quick Trip, Phillips 66, Conoco and Mobil, according to stlouisgasprices.com.
  
  
• This week, we'll have the results of the MAP data and AYP results for the Mehlville School District, released by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. We'll also be at and the All-Star game.
