- Weather: We could be breaking the norm today with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Before that, it's supposed to be mostly sunny with a high of 95 degrees. The heat index could still reach 107, according to the National Weather Service.
- Gas: Sam's Club is the lowest at $3.49 and the Union and Greenpark Phillips 66 is at $3.52. After that, gas jumps to $3.63 at the Tesson Ferry Quick Trip and $3.67 at the Mobil station on Buckley Road, according to stlouisgasprices.com.
- A quick wrap-up of the Mehlville school board meeting last night: the board tabled two of its main agenda items and inducted new member . Board policy changes and a 1 percent pay raise for classified (non-teacher) staff will be discussed during or after the board retreat Aug. 13.
