Good Prevails for Kazooie

This 1-year-old brindle Terrier mix is such a sweetheart.

This week’s Pooch of the Week has seen the ugly side of people.  Fortunately, because of the folks at Stray Rescue and other caring people, she has also seen the good.  Kazooie was living on the streets with her brother Kage during the 100-plus heat wave earlier in the summer.  On top of dealing with intense heat, the two dogs were also being kicked by people in the neighborhood.  Luckily a kind man stepped up and rescued these two pups from this cruel treatment.

This 1-year-old brindle Terrier mix is such a sweetheart.  She enjoys human interaction and does well with other dogs.  The Stray Rescue staff told me that they use her to help another dog at the Pine shelter become more social.  Kazooie is already making a difference - she was destined for great things!

Kazooie wasn’t completely sure about The Watering Bowl.  It took her a little time to get a feel for things and get comfortable in the cage-free environment.  By the end of the day, once most of the dogs had gone home, Kazooie was running around and playing with some of her new friends.  Hopefully she will have another opportunity to go to TWB, because it can only help her grow and become more confident.

At 35 pounds, Kazooie is the perfect size for any home.  She has a sweet face that is sure to win anyone’s heart.  I can vouch for that as she is currently holding my heart hostage.  For more information on this sweetie, visit Stray Rescue.

Like her sister, Kage has also seen the good and the bad side of the human race.  He is currently learning that good prevails and is enjoying his time at his foster home.  If you would like more information on him, visit Stray Rescue.
