They are looking for those who know the horse trails or have farm land or other land along the Meramec River area to walk their land, search the trails, call out his name, and keep their eyes open everywhere along the Meramec for Jon. They are asking for pilots to help in performing SARs and for those who boat on the Meramec to come and aid in the search as authorities continue their search also at this time. The public boat ramp at route 66 St. Park is open! Boaters who may not be aware of the situation are handed fliers and asked to keep their eyes open for Jon. They Still need your help now that the waters are receding more. The woods in the area are thick and still dangerous to walk on foot, especially where ground has been softened and is causing "sink holes' in some areas. But as more area is being opened up by the receding waters again foot search can resume. Please go to https://www.facebook.com/FindJonFranklin for more information . The family also asks that all who choose to participate in the search to "Please use caution and be safe in your search as the family does not want any one to endanger themselves in these efforts!"
