Mehlville Hockey Club is off to a Great Start

Hockey season has started again and Mehlville Hockey Club is off to a great start.  Once again, Mehlville is fielding three teams - Varsity, B(what used to be JVd), and a C team.  The Varsity team has played four games so far with great turnouts in the stands.  Joey Parker has scored the most goals with four, followed by Jacob Murphy, who has two goals.  Adam Ryffel has not only scored a goal, but he also has two assists.  Tommy Loeffelman has a goal and an assist,  while Tyler Smith and Justin Cole are helping out the team with their assists.  Although the Varsity team has lost three games and tied one against MICDS, they are playing great.  Come out to Kennedy Recreation Center to catch the action as Mehlville Varsity plays Parkway South tonight, Monday Nov. 18 at 8:45 pm.
Mehlville's B-team has played three games so far with two wins and one loss.  The whole team is putting forth a great effort.  Both wins were shut outs for goalie, Naomi Leasck.  Nick Durham had an outstanding game against Northwest scoring four goals.  Nick Harkins and Matthew Hageman have also scored goals. Adam Ryffel and Mark Pearson have gotten goals and assists.   Michael Maloney and Luke Hemenway have also gotten assists.  They do not have a game again til Dec. 7 at 4pm at Queeny Recreation Center.
The C-team has only played two games.  Although they lost their first game against Eureka, they won their second game this past weekend against Clayton. Goalie Clayton Davis made some great saves earning himself a shut out. These youngsters are putting out a whole team effort.   Nicholas Earickson and William Moffat have both scored goals for C-team.   They play again on Nov. 30th at 6:15pm at the St. Peters Rec. Plex against Westminster.  Way to go Panthers!  You can follow the Mehlville Hockey Club on Facebook as well as Twitter.  Come out to Kennedy Recreation Center tonight at 8:45 pm for a what should be a fantastic game against Parkway South.
