Mehlville School District: Jason Buatte Named Assistant Principal At Oakville Middle School

Jason Buatte will serve as the assistant principal of Oakville Middle School beginning with the 2022-2023 school year. The Mehlville School District Board of Education unanimously voted to approve his hiring at its Feb. 3, 2022, meeting.

Buatte graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences before earning a Master of Arts in School Administration from Lindenwood University. He is currently working toward a doctorate in educational leadership. Buatte has served as an assistant principal at Oakville High School for the past six years. Prior to that, he was a high school and middle school teacher and coach at Columbia Unit School District #4 in Illinois.Β

Buatte will begin serving as assistant principal of Oakville Middle School on July 1, 2022. He replaces Dr. Patrick Bellinger, who is retiring at the end of the 2021-2022 school year.
This semester, we will begin a thorough search for his replacement at Oakville High School.
