Mehlville Students and Staff Help Needy During the Holidays
The district has been donating and contributing to various service projects.

Mehlville School District staff and students have been picking up extra clothes and food for those in need in Mehlville and Oakville.
The schools have had collections personal hygiene items, books, pet care items, winter clothing and food. Several departments and classes have also sent letters and care packages to service men and women overseas.

Parents as Teachers/Early Childhood Program: Adopted families in need
Beasley Elementary: Made gift bags for veterans at the Jefferson Barracks V.A. Medical Center

Bierbaum Elementary: Collection benefitting families served by Feed My People
Blades Elementary: Contributed to the Shoebox project
Forder Elementary: Collected clothing and food items for Feed My People
Hagemann Elementary: Canned food drive
Oakville Elementary: Adopted OES family in need

Bernard Middle: Collected money for the families of wounded soldiers and children whose parents are serving in the military overseas
Margaret Buerkle Middle: Collection for St. Louis Crisis Nursery
Oakville Middle: Collected toys for children in Joplin, Mo.
Washington Middle: Collected change to benefit WMS families in need
Mehlville High: Hosted Shoebox project to collect items for local children in need
Oakville High: Adopted seven local families in need
Alt Academy and STRETCH gifted program: Donated holiday gifts to residents at Bethesda Southgate
SCOPE: Canned food drive
Transportation: Adopted eight District families in need
