“It’s a good night,” said Oakville Elementary Principal Chad Dickemper. “Hopefully it encourages students to keep reading during the summer. We try to do one event each month during the summer to keep our community intact. Last month we had a father-daughter dance, and next month will be the back to school ice cream social.”

“This is a great event,” said Oakville Elementary School parent, Greg Schuermeyer. “It’s important for schools to be a center of the community, so that people are being involved and the building is being used.”
