Oakville High School Senior Places Third in National Design Competition
Michael Cimo earned an $800 scholarship in the CAD Design/Drafting Program.

Oakville High School senior Michael Cimo recently took third place at the national level of the National Association of Women in Construction’s (NAWIC) Education Foundation’s CAD Design/Drafting Program for his design of a home for a five-member family.
To qualify for the national level of the CAD Design/Drafting Program, Cimo’s project, which he designed during his Advanced Drafting class with OHS teacher Bob Faust, earned first place in both the local and regional divisions of the program.
“I put a lot of hard work into my project, so I was happy to win third but kind of surprised too,” said Cimo, who is the son of David and Patricia Cimo.
