Oakville residents, do you know Ameren wants to build a landfill in your neighborhood?
On Tuesday, June 18th Oakville residents, in partnership with the Sierrra Club, will be delivering petitions to the St. Louis County Council at their weekly meeting. We need a LOT of people to attend to show the strong support for water testing at the Meramec plant and reducing the high levels of SO2 from Ameren’s coal plant. Will you commit to attend? Meeting starts at 6:00pm. You have to be there no later than 5:40 pm at 41 S. Central in Clayton. Go through the doors and up the escalator. We will meet at the top of the escalator. The meeting is typically over by 6:45. You will not have to say or do anything, but your attendance will send a strong message of support. Parking is limited so allow extra time. Would you be interested in providing testimony? Would you be interested in helping us collect more postcards? If you would like to learn more about this issue and other ways to get involved, we would be happy to set up a time to meet with you for coffee and talk to you more about why this is such an important issue.
