OHS Speech and Debate Shines at Capital Competition
The Oakville High School Speech and Debate Team made an impression in Jefferson City.
had six out of 21 students in the speech and debate finals at the 17th Annual Capital Classic at Jefferson City High School Friday and Saturday.
The speech and debate team was one of 20 schools who attended the classic and four out of the six Oakville finalists from the Congressional Debate were novice competitors. The team will next compete at Marquette High School Feb. 17 and 18 before going to districts.
