Penelope Pitstop: A Perky Pooch Visits the Pack

Penelope is the complete package, and could be a part of your family.

Penelope, a 2-year-old female Terrier Mix, was the first dog to be a part of the new program at The Watering Bowl: Stray Rescue Tuesdays. On Tuesday mornings, a TWB worker goes to the shelter and picks up one lucky pooch that gets to spend a wonderful day mixing it up and making new friends at TWB.

Penelope was on her best behavior from the moment she left the Stray Rescue shelter. Not once did she bark on the car ride. Instead, she sat quietly in the back seat with a big smile on her face—she knew she was in for something good.

Penelope got along with the rest of the pack from the very beginning. She was happily surprised when she ran into a fellow Stray Rescue dog from the shelter. After catching up, she learned that Ranken had just been adopted and was now going by the name Newton. She was so excited for him! After all, every Stray Rescue dog dreams of a happy ending. If Ranken got his, there is no reason that she can’t have one as well. Newton and Penelope spent the day together running around and having a blast. Living at the shelter has taught them to appreciate the good things that come their way.

Penelope slept most of the way back to the shelter. A friend of a TWB worker volunteers at the shelter and said that Penelope was sound asleep the moment she got back. There wasn’t a peep from her all night.

This girl is a catch. She has the sweetest personality and is such a little love bug. She deserves the very best, and hopefully that is exactly what she will get! Contact www.strayrescue.org for more information.
