Police Arrest Suspect in Rash of Car Break-Ins

Approximately $2,000 worth of goods was stolen from the vehicles.

St. Louis County Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a rash of car break-ins Tuesday in the St. George and Reavis Barracks Road areas.

Ermin Huremovic, 18, had warrants issued on tampering in the first degree and a felony possession of stolen goods. He is now incarcerated with a $20,000 bond, police said.

Officer Dennis Cook with the Affton-Southwest Precinct said officers stopped Huremovic Wednesday while driving a stolen vehicle and then found stolen property from the vehicles in his possession.

"He was driving a car that was stolen around the same time these cars got broken into one or two streets outside the area," Cook said.

Police estimate the total value of stolen items, mostly GPS units, was approximately $2,000. About $1,200 was recovered and given back to at least four victims.
