Police are also investigating another shoplifting from a store nearby on the same day.

Police arrested four people and recovered more than $1,000 in stolen items from South County Center late last month.

The four suspectsβ€”two black men and two black womenβ€”were arrested outside Dillard’s on Oct. 30 on suspicion of shoplifting and attempting to flee the scene, although they disabled their car in a sewer, St. Louis County Police said. The car was a maroon Pontiac Vibe with Illinois license plates.
