Sammy: Mama’s Boy for Life
Sammy, a Golden Retriever, loves his mama more than his ladies.
The way a man treats his mom says a lot about his character. The same goes for male dogs and their female owners. Nothing is sweeter than observing a male dog and his mom—the way he is always at her side, protecting her, making sure that she is alright. This week’s Pooch of the Week has earned the nickname “Mama’s Boy,” and he couldn’t be happier about it!
Sammy is one of the many Golden Retrievers who frequent The Watering Bowl. However, he stands out because of his magnificent mahogany-colored coat. Sammy hates leaving his mom’s side, and sometimes is apprehensive about coming to camp. However, as soon as he comes in the door, he remembers how much he loves his time at TWB. Sammy knows that time apart from his mom every now and then is healthy, and plus, TWB rocks!
Sammy has lots of friends at TWB, most whom are females. Maybe the ladies gravitate toward his tender heart. Sammy loves participating in friendly rastlin’ matches with his pals, bouncing around and getting rowdy with his friends.

Sammy has been the only mahogany colored Golden Retriever at TWB for the longest time. That was until last week when Sammy met the gal of his dreams. Maggie showed up and it was love at first sight. Those two couldn’t take their eyes off each other for the entire day. Sammy’s mom even approved of his new girlfriend!
Sammy is one of TWB’s most loyal customers—he has been coming for more than a year! He loves to come several days a week for a couple hours each time. He only stays for a short amount of time because he gives 110 percent each and every time he plays at TWB and of course, he doesn’t want to be away from his mama for too long. As much fun as all the ladies are at TWB, no one compares to mom.
