Simple Fare Served Fast At Holland Cafe & Meats

Down-home cooking and hickory-smoked meats make Holland Cafe & Meats an easy choice for the hungry who crave real food, real fast.

Down-home cooking, sensibly priced and simply served is what you can expect from  in Fenton.

Holland’s is an operation that combines an old-fashioned meat market with restaurant service. With an on-site meat market Holland's can source all its meats, ensuring the best selection of available meats, fish and cold cuts to produce its entrees, sandwiches and signature barbecue specialties.

Lunch and dinner are dished from a hot-line filled with vegetables, barbecue and the day’s blue-plate special. Depending on the day of the week you could feast on pork chops, chicken and dumplings, meat loaf, fried catfish or shrimp. Hickory smoked barbecue meats are always on the line and include country-style ribs, pork steaks and chicken quarters. Smoked brisket is also available as a first-come, first-served house specialty.

“Our main thing is barbecue but we do have a lot more," said owner Doug Holland. The 10-ounce ribeye or NY strip steak dinners are served with a baked potato and salad for just $17.99.

Daily lunch and dinner plates are priced at $5.99 and $6.99 respectively and include two sides and bread. Order off the menu board if you're not interested in the Blue Plate. Those wanting a burger fix? Consider the Honcho burger, 8 ounces of fresh ground beef, cooked to order with or without a cheese and/or bacon option. Rounding out the menu are hot and cold deli sandwiches, wraps, salads and appetizers. The must-try appetizer is the Boudin balls, a Louisiana rice-based sausage that’s deep-fried.

Beer or wine service is offered in Holland’s modest dining room, which doubles as the meat market's sales room. Al fresco dining is located outside in front of the store on wooden picnic tables. Holland’s most popular dining option—take-home and carry-out catering.
