$100 Incentives and More

The vaccination events will include giveaway items such as laptop computers (25 per
campus), gift bags and an extra incentive of $100 for currently enrolled students
who get vaccinated against COVID-19.

To be eligible for the incentive, students must receive a final COVID-19 vaccination
and submit proof of the vaccination by Oct. 29 at 5 p.m. That means that students
must have received both doses of a two-dose series such as Pfizer or Moderna; or a
single dose of a one-dose series such as Johnson & Johnson.

The incentive will be deposited into the student’s STLCC account in November.

Students who are already vaccinated against COVID-19 and who are currently enrolled
for fall 2021 are also eligible to receive $100 with proof of vaccination by Oct.
29 at 5 p.m.

Details about the student vaccination events and the incentive program will be announced
to students via email on or after Aug. 19.

Funding for the Incentive STLCC is able to pay for the incentive with money from the Higher Education Emergency
Relief Fund (HEERF) from the U.S. Department of Education’s Coronavirus Response and
Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act 2021 (CRRSAA).

HEERF provides funds for emergency student aid grants to help students through the
impact of the pandemic and supports the College’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic
such as expanding learning modalities to virtual or online formats and other safety
measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

STLCC received $66,143,161 through HEERF. Details about HEERF reporting is on the College’s website.

The estimated cost to offer $100 incentives to students is $1 million.

A similar incentive program is being offered to STLCC employees from Aug. 23 through
Oct. 29 at 5 p.m. For current STLCC employees, the incentive is $500 to be paid in
November or December via payroll. The estimated cost for the employee incentive is
$1.5 million.

Masks Required

The College requires all students, faculty, staff and visitors to wear masks inside
at all STLCC locations. Wearing a mask while indoors with others reduces the risk
of both getting and transmitting the virus.

Please continue to maintain a social distance, wash your hands regularly, and stay
at home if you are sick.
