Steaks Remain Tradition at Sam's Steakhouse

Serious steak and potato fans have made Sam’s Steakhouse a destination for 20 years. Thick cuts of tenderloin, NY strip, prime rib and Porterhouse star alongside gigantic paper-wrapped baked potatoes dressed with butter, sour cream and chives.

Sam’s traditional steakhouse fare is served in a dining room that’s classically set with crisp white table clothes, votives and chargers (oversized plates that designate each place setting). Waiters are welcoming and work to pace dinners to prevent courses from overlapping each other.

Steak is the star. The smallest weighs in at 8-ounces for filets.The largest is a 24-ounce Porterhouse, which can be shared with a split charge added. Non-beef eaters' options include grilled chicken and pork chops along with salmon, tuna, tilapia and lobster tails. 

Steaks are grilled with Sam’s signature basting sauce, a savory blend with a subtle flavor of soy and garlic. Prime rib is seasoned and served au jus or served Sam’s Style on request - brushed with Sam’s sauce and finished on the grill.

The same baste and grill technique is used to flavor Sam's full-sized burgers, an exclusive served only in the bar.

“You won’t go hungry here. Even our burgers are big, they're all 10-ounces,” said Barkeep Aaron Hark, pointing to Sam’s new bar menu that includes gourmet burgers, a fried fish sandwich and Sam’s version of the open-faced roast beef built on Texas Toast using sliced prime rib and served with garlic mashed potatoes.

All items on the bar menu are $9.99 and served with a side, making it Sam’s best buy. 

Entrée prices start at $22.95 for chicken and tops out at $55.95 for steak and lobster. The average steak costs $32 and includes a dinner salad, baked potato or a veggie. Fancier sides as a twice baked or a loaded sweet potato can be swapped out for a dollar up-charge.
