Stray Rescue and Suspenders Rock!

With heat an at all-time high, help a pooch get adopted at Stray Rescue.

The people of Stray Rescue are amazing; what they do no matter how big or small makes a difference.  Were you able to check out their Summer of Love Adoptathon this past Saturday?  It was a huge success!  With adoption rates reduced to $50, a lot of very lucky pups were able to find their forever home.  The Watering Bowl supports Stray Rescue in everything they do, and their very own Jess even braved the heat to make sure the folks at Stray Rescue knew that.

This week's Pooch of the Week didn't find his forever home on Saturday, but in the minds of TWB staff, it is just a matter of time.  Suspenders is a super playful Terrier mix that just loves spending his days at . While he might not have a forever family just yet, he does have a pretty awesome foster family, including a mischievous foster brother.

At one year old, Suspenders is already towering over his foster brother, Jaxson.  Jaxson, a 4-year-old Lab mix, has taken to his "little" brother quite well.  He loves showing Suspenders around TWB play area and even getting into a little trouble with him!  Whether it's playing chase or engaging in some rastlin', these boys are always ready to have a good time!

Suspenders would do great in a family with multiple dogs, as he absolutely loves his time at TWB.  Suspenders is also one smart pooch that loves to please his people.  He is crate and housetrained, can sit on command, and is currently working on how to walk on a leash.  Suspenders is going to be the perfect family dog!  For more information on this sweet boy, visit Stray Rescue.

To become part of the awesome Stray Rescue community, visit their website.  There are so many ways to help.  Of course they are always in need of fosters, but if that isn't an option, consider donating some much needed supplies or some of your time to walk the shelter dogs.  Whatever you can give, no matter how small, makes a difference.
