This week’s Pooch of the Week is named after part of the famous pop duo, Caption and Tennille. Captain has already gone to his forever home, and now fun-loving Tennille is hoping for the same.
Sure, she is named after a duo whose whole career was based on love, but that does not accurately describe Tennille the pooch one bit! Yes, she is a sweetheart, but she is also a strong, independent girl that doesn’t need a male to make her feel complete. She is happy that Captain found a home of his own, because she never really had strong feelings toward him anyway. A clean break was just what she needed.
All those lovey-dovey songs make Tennille sick. On the car ride to TWB, the staff member put on Alanis Morissette’s “Jagged Little Pill,” and she was rocking out! Alanis, Gwen Stefani, Janis Joplin and Pink – these are the type of women that come to mind when thinking about this 1-year-old Terrier Mix.

Tennille made it known at TWB that she could take care of herself. That doesn’t mean that wasn’t on her best behavior, because she most certainly was. However, she preferred to play with the ladies. When the gentlemen introduced themselves to this beautiful girl, she politely said hello, and then went on her merry old way.
All joking aside, Tennille is a lovely lady. She may be strong-willed and literally quite strong, but she has a sweet heart and relished all the attention she got from TWB staff. She has learned to take care of herself, but she wouldn’t mind having a family to call her own. After all, even the most independent folk want to love and be loved.
