The Most Beautiful Sound I Ever Heard: Maria

Stray Rescue sure isn’t lacking in adorable female pups available for adoption. In the last few weeks, and have both been highlighted, (both of whom are still available for adoption) and this week, another darling gal from Stray Rescue is Pooch of the Week.

Maria lives up to the lyrics in West Side Story’s song “Maria!” She is a 6-month-old Greyhound Mix whose gorgeous grey coat is so eye-catching that one can’t help but take a second look at her. Those precious puppy dog eyes makes people want to hold her and never let go. Luckily, she is very affectionate and has no problem with all the attention she attracts. 

During her time at The Watering Bowl, Maria was spotted doing several activities. She was very fond of following her big sis around, making new friends, showing off her dance moves, playing with the toys at TWB and of course, getting loving from the whole TWB staff. Her sweet personality makes humans and doggies alike want to be around her. 

Maria enjoys the company of both dogs and humans. She absolutely loves her foster sister, Mocha, a 4-year-old Chocolate Lab. She quickly bonds with other dogs and would do great in a home with other pets. Maria also stole the heart of Jess, one of TWB staff members who recently adopted from Stray Rescue, now known as Tippy. 

Maria is not only adorable, but she is also very intelligent. She is quickly learning how to walk on a leash and is mastering going potty outside. She is eager to please and eager to learn.
