Tigers Smoke Fort Zumwalt West for Second Win

Oakville junior Jake Duckworth led the Tigers with 10 kills on their way to a two-game victory over Fort Zumwalt West Wednesday, finishing 25-11 and 25-10. 

The 6-foot-5-inch outside hitter was missing from the , but returned with fire Wednesday night. Duckworth is the only veteran from the . 

"The game was slow, but we had a very good service game with both our setters going on big runs," said coach Kelsey Husak in an email to Patch. 

Junior setter Jeff Winter nailed 15 serves with five aces while fellow setter Sam Lodes chipped in 13 serves and four aces. 

Senior Zach Klipsch, who had , had the highest digs Wednesday at six for the match.

The Tigers will play in a tournament this weekend before facing Vianney Tuesday at 6 p.m. at home.
