Self empowerment workshops are a critical piece of the holistic response to domestic violence offered at Woman’s Place.   Women who are served at Woman’s Place receive crisis intervention and referrals to deal with their immediate situation. Workshops and support groups are important next steps so women can develop the self-assurance and confidence they need to break what can be a cycle of domestic abuse.

All services, including workshops and support groups, are offered at no charge. There are no eligibility requirements for assistance at Woman’s Place.

In announcing the grant award, Angela Most, secretary/treasurer, Employees Community Fund of Boeing St. Louis, commended Woman’s Place for its commitment to make the community a better place for all of us to live and work.

Woman’s Place is located at 8300 Morganford in South St. Louis County in space shared with St. Louis Crisis Nursery and at 4116 McClay in St. Charles with the Sts.
