• O'Fallon, Missouri, police detail how the new drone fleet is helping them solve crimes (ksdk.com) — O'Fallon police are now using a three-drone fleet launched from local QuikTrip substations to help solve crimes and keep first responders safer at crash scenes and other emergencies. Managed through a $1.2 million Real-Time Information Center, the drones have already helped track down at least one armed suspect and are shared with several neighboring departments across St. Charles County.

• $5,000 Reward Offered to Help Find Who Dumped Guinea Pigs on Old Highway N. (peta.org) — A $5,000 PETA reward is being offered for tips identifying whoever abandoned four guinea pigs in plastic exercise balls along Old Highway N near Hawk Ridge Trail in O'Fallon, where three died during an extreme heat warning. Anyone with information is urged to contact O'Fallon Animal Control, as the surviving guinea pig continues to recover under veterinary care.
