• 2 firefighters recovering after being injured in O'Fallon house fire (dailydispatch.com) — Two firefighters are recovering after being hurt fighting a Sunday house fire in an O'Fallon subdivision off Boatside Court near Route 364. Wentzville crews say a garage ceiling collapse briefly hospitalized one firefighter and another suffered a minor knee injury, but both are expected to be fine after quickly bringing the blaze under control.
   

• One killed, four injured in separate weekend crashes at same Highway 61 location (warrencountyrecord.com) — A 29-year-old O'Fallon woman was seriously hurt in a Saturday crash at Dietrich Road and Highway 61 that also killed her Wentzville passenger, just a day before another collision at the same spot injured two more drivers. Both wrecks underscore ongoing safety concerns at this busy northwestern St. Charles County intersection heavily used by O'Fallon-area motorists.
