The
SSM Heart Institute is presenting a unique opportunity for those with heart
valve disease or disorders to discuss treatment options over dinner with two of
the region’s leading heart valve specialists.
Cardiothoracic
surgeon David Theodoro, MD, and cardiologist Georges Chahoud, MD, both with SSM
Heart Institute, will explain what causes heart valves to fail and why it’s
critical to manage and treat valve problems for long-term health. Dr. Theodoro,
who operates at SSM DePaul Health Center in Bridgeton, is nationally recognized
for his work in minimally invasive heart valve surgery, including his use of
the da Vinci Robotic Surgery System. Dr. Chahoud, who practices in St. Charles
County, places special emphasis on the management of patients with heart valve
disease.
