Akos Solutions LLC Earns Make More Happen Award for Supporting the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks

Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance have awarded Akos Solutions LLC a 2026 Make More Happen™ Award for its partnership with the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks (BCFO), a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families impacted by breast cancer. The award includes a $5,000 donation, which can be doubled to $10,000 through online community support.

The Akos Solutions and the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks’ story is featured on the official Make More Happen™ microsite at www.agentgiving.com/akos-solutions, where supporters can vote to help unlock the full $10,000 donation. If the story receives at least 750 combined votes and comments, the award will be doubled. The funding would allow BCFO to expand outreach, provide more free mammogram screenings, and deepen partnerships with local businesses like Akos Solutions.

Akos Solutions has a deep connection to BCFO. When Rachel Albin, principal of Springfield-based independent insurance agency Akos Solutions, was diagnosed with breast cancer, she wasn’t sure where to turn. BCFO stepped in to provide peace of mind to Albin, her family, and her business by connecting them with support networks, mentoring programs, community services, and critical resources related to breast cancer awareness, diagnosis, and treatment.

“When I was diagnosed, BCFO showed up for my family with compassion, resources, and a sense of hope we desperately needed,” said Albin. “Their kindness carried us through, and now we’re committed to helping ensure others have the same lifeline.”

Akos Solutions supports BCFO through fundraising and hands-on volunteer efforts, including hosting an open house and auction with all proceeds donated to the foundation, staffing events, and running informational booths at local shows to raise awareness. Most recently, Albin staffed a community event and helped 16 women sign up for mammograms.

Supporting BCFO is more than a partnership for the team at Akos Solutions – it is a commitment to giving back, lifting up families affected by breast cancer, and ensuring the foundation’s message of hope reaches as many people as possible.

BCFO’s services include non-medical financial assistance, wigs, free screening mammogram vouchers, a Children’s Fund, gas cards for treatment-related travel, lymphedema garments, a support group, and mentoring for those navigating diagnosis and treatment. A $10,000 Make More Happen™ Award would help BCFO continue delivering these essential services to neighbors in need.

Throughout 2026, Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance will select up to 36 independent agencies nationwide for a Make More Happen™ Award, donating up to $360,000 to nonprofits they support. Agencies become eligible by submitting applications highlighting their commitment to a specific cause.
