U.S. Cellular Donates 150 Personal Care Kits to Boys & Girls Club

Donation follows a $10,000 donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs COVID-19 Relief Fund that directly supported youth in Springfield

U.S. Cellular has donated 150 “Personal Care Kits” to Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield for distribution to local Club members. These kits include personal hygiene items, lip balm, tissues and playing cards – and Club leaders are delivering them to members’ homes while the physical locations remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This donation is part of 750 kits that are being delivered to several Clubs across the country and follows U.S. Cellular’s $10,000 donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs COVID-19 Relief Fund that directly supported youth in Springfield.

“Even with the Club locations closed, Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield is supporting their community by distributing food, bottled water and other necessary supplies to their members,” said David King, store manager for U.S. Cellular in Springfield. “As they continue to do whatever it takes to care for our youth, we want to do our part to help ensure that they have the resources they need.”
