UScellular Donates Wireless Hotspots and Service in Springfield
UScellular Donates More Than $200,000 in Wireless Hotspots and Service to Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield

To help provide equitable learning access and opportunities and keep local youth connected during the school year, UScellular has donated 175 wireless hotspots and two years of service to Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield, a value totaling $201,425. Hotspots have proven to be a vital tool for youth to access the Internet, study and complete homework, and these will help Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield boost their connectivity on site, while also being loaned out to families to support reliable access at home.
“UScellular’s contribution of wireless hotspots for our Boys & Girls Club members makes a tremendous difference in their equitable access to the internet, which is crucial for out of school time learning,” said Jeff Long, Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield Director of Operations. “UScellular’s partnership is helping the Boys & Girls Club focus on academic success, one of its key priority outcome areas.”
The hotspots provided to Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield connect to UScellular’s network to provide high-speed connectivity for Club members throughout the Springfield area, and each hotspot has the potential to support multiple Club members throughout any given day.
