Voting Begins for U.S. Cellular’s Black History Month Art Contest
U.S. Cellular Hosts Black History Month Art Contest

The top 10 drawings from U.S. Cellular’s Black History Month Art Competition with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield are now on display at the U.S. Cellular store located at 3825 S Glenstone Ave (65804). Local community members are encouraged to stop by to vote for their favorite piece of artwork.
In January, Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield members created original artwork in recognition of influential African-Americans, including business people, sports figures, historical figures and celebrities. The 10 finalists’ artwork was chosen by representatives from the Boys & Girls Club and local U.S. Cellular leaders. Those creations will be displayed in the U.S. Cellular store through Feb 28, and anyone 18 and older is encouraged to visit the store to vote for their favorite. Three winners will be chosen based on the voting results and will be announced in March. Prizes are gift cards in the following amounts:
- $250 for 1st Place
- $150 for 2nd Place
- $100 for 3rd Place
U.S. Cellular’s store at 3825 S Glenstone Ave is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sundays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
