Boone Country Garden Club Gets Crafty
Members enjoy learning a new craft at the August meeting.

Long tables laden with old tablecloths and plastic, aprons and work shirts, gloved hands, and safety glasses, was the scene after finished business at tAugust meeting.
“I’m going outside to break plates!”, yelled Linda Humes. Members hurried outside to watch.

Linda Humes and Diane Goodman led the club in an activity to mosaic a terracotta pot. Each member supplied their own pot, and any dishes, glass cabochons, or other materials they wanted to use in their mosaic. There was also a plethora of mosaic materials available for everyone -- ranging from broken mirror shards to tiny bathroom tiles.
A buzz of conversation filled the room as members expressed their creativity. Linda wrapped up the activity by giving us a quick primer on grouting, and everyone’s homework was to take a bag of grout home and finish their piec
