Devon Alexander Wins Split Decision Against Matthysse in St. Charles

On a night when thunder rattled the windows, the Family Arena shook from the inside with the Show Me Something Great boxing tournament. 

Devon Alexander won a split decision against Lucas Matthysse from Argentina. In a fight that was as close as they get, Alexander got the nod in his hometown and regains his rank as one of the top fighters in the Super Lightweight Division.

Cory Spinks put on a show winning against North Carolina's Shakir Ashanti and showed flashes of the Cory Spinks who has won five World Championships.

Ryan "The Irish Outlaw" Coyne, needed 12 rounds to get the win and retain his WBC-USNBC title against "King" David McNemar from West Virginia. Coyne proved that at 17-0 he is a force to be reckoned with in the Cruiserweight Division.
