Don't Drink and Drive: Free Halloween Cab Rides!

Dear St. Charles,

Almost everyday I turn on the news and see another fatality from drinking and driving in St. Charles. This is especially true on holiday weekends, when going out to celebrate is a fun thing to do. I get that, and I’ve been known to wear a crazy Halloween costume or two in my day. But what I don’t get, is why people continuously get behind a wheel after drinking.

Truth be told: I wish I didn’t have a job sometimes. I wish that nobody would ever contact me after the made they wrong choice and drove while impaired. But the harsh reality is: it happens every day.

If you go out this Halloween weekend and have a few drinks to celebrate this festive holiday, please do yourself and all of St. Charles a favor and call a cab.

I will pay for it.
