First Bank Employees Help Heal Hunger In The Community
177,161 pounds of food, $41,211 in cash donations collected during Operation Food Search event

To help feed fragile families in St. Louis and the Tri-County area, volunteers throughout First Bank and the community collected more 177,161 pounds of food and $41,211 in cash donations on July 30 during Operation Food Searchβs Annual Saturday Jubilee.
Food collected will supply food to Operation Food Searchβs network of 220 member agencies. Each month, Operation Food Search helps to feed more than 200,000 people in the St. Louis bi-state region.
βWe want to extend a big thanks to our employees and the entire St. Louis community for their generous support of the Saturday Jubilee,β said Liz Modesitt, Senior Vice President, In-Store Regional Manager for First Bank. βThe food items collected and the financial donations will have a big impact on healing hunger in our community.β

Forty First Bank employees forming 15 teams took part in the one-day event, collecting donations at 13 In-Store Dierbergs locations as well the Wentzville and Warrenton branches. It was the seventh consecutive year First Bank employees participated in the Saturday Jubilee.
In addition, First Bank employee teams at the Hazelwood Operation Center (600 James S. McDonnell Blvd) in July collected 1,357 food items and $590 in cash donations leading up to the Saturday Jubilee.
