MISSOURI DAY! Explore the Missouri Indian Tribes

Come and explore the contributions and cultures of Missouri's Indian Tribes at our annual Missouri Day Celebration.

General Assembly On March 22, 1915 set aside the third Wednesday each October as “Missouri Day.” Missouri Day is a time for kids and grownups to honor the state and to celebrate the achievements of all Missourians.

Organizations like Trail of Tears State Park, Mound City Archaeological Society, Endangered Wolf Sanctuary will be here to talk about Missouri’s Indians and their contributions to Missouri History. Flintnapping, leather stamping, storytelling, mat weaving, food tasting, herbalists and more will be on hand. This is a free event.
