Who is Monical’s?

In 1959 the Monical family started making pizzas in the little town of Tolono, Illinois. Before long, their recipe became a hit with many of their local friends and neighbors. Thus was born Monical’s Pizza, a name that over the years has become synonymous with the very finest thin crust pizza. Today there are more than 60 Monical’s Pizza restaurants, primarily located throughout Central Illinois, Indiana and one in Wisconsin. Monical’s Pizza has evolved into a dining tradition for countless families and into a financially-solid steadily-growing foodservice tradition. There are two reasons for this record of performance: People and Vision.

Monical’s has one of the lowest turnover rates in the industry; many employees starting with us during high school and stay with us for a career. We are a two-time recipient of the Employer of Choice Award from the National Restaurant Association for our training and retention programs.

Job Descriptions:

Monical’s Pizza is opening its first location in O’Fallon and is currently hiring Great People for the following positions on our team:

Server - This person will provide friendly and timely service while demonstrating genuine hospitality when greeting and conversing with guests. Knowledge of our menu items will be necessary to take accurate orders and serve our guests to provide an exceptional dining experience.

Fronter - This person will greet and converse with guests, both in the restaurant, and via telephone when taking delivery and pick-up orders. Knowledge of our menu items and outstanding communication skills will be critical.

Dough Maker - This person creates the foundation of our pizza. Our dough is made daily in-house. You will need to be at least 18-years old, the ability to lift up to 25-lbs, be committed to quality food preparation and possess the ability to follow recipes, procedures and safety requirements.

Pizza Maker - This person ensures that pizzas and other products are made to our guests’ specifications. You will need to work in a team environment, be dedicated to producing high-quality products and possess the ability to communicate clearly with others.

Oven Tender - This person is critical to ensuring the quality of product served to our guests. You will need to read tickets to check the product for accuracy and communicate clearly with team members.

Delivery Driver - No car needed…Monical’s provides the car! This person represents Monical’s while delivering food to our guests. You will need excellent interpersonal skills, be at least 18-years old, possess an excellent driving record and be knowledgeable about local neighborhoods.
